    Rose Pecos-Sun Rhodes was born on May 23, 1956 at Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico.

    She learned the traditional methods of working with clay from her grandmother, Louisa F. Toledo, and her mother, Carol Pecos. Since the early 1970s, Rose has been hand sculpting clay art using ancient traditional methods.

    Rose has developed her own style and is known for her unique storytellers and figurines, with the female storytellers featuring a flaring skirt that forms a base around the storyteller and the male figures featuring a cowboy hat. She obtains all of her natural materials from within the Jemez Pueblo.

    Having exhibited at many art shows over the years - such as the Santa Fe Indian Market -Rose has earned several awards that include Best of Division.
