      Aldrick Mooya

Aldrick Mooya was born in 1977 to the Greasewood Clan in Kykotsmovi (Third Hopi Mesa) and he began carving in the 1990s. Aldrick is the grandson of Alban Mooya Sr., a well-respected Kachina carver.

When Aldrick was only 19-years-old, he won the coveted Best of Division and 1st Place ribbons at the heard Show in Phoenix, AZ. Aldrick is a very good, young carver and says, "I want to keep my Hopi ways going and pass it on."
