Bisbee Turquoise

Perhaps one of the most iconic turquoise mines in the Southwest, the Lavender Pit Mine in Bisbee, Arizona was last mined in 1974. Originally a copper mine, the Lavender Pit Mine produced very hard, high grade, and brilliantly blue turquoise. Known for its deep blue colors and chocolate matrix, Bisbee Turquoise is unmistakable. The Lavender Pit Mine is permanently closed and any Bisbee turquoise was officially mined prior to 1974.
